What we do
Real activities, every week
No sitting still – our Squirrels and Beavers are out doing things. Here is a flavour of the year.
Campfires and cooking
Cooking simple food on a real campfire and toasting round the flames at family events.
Dens and building
Building dens and shelters outdoors, plus big creations with boxes and tarps.
Nature explorers
Minibeast hunts, pond dipping and spotting the birds and animals on our doorstep.
Local adventures
Walks, park visits and little outings around Brabazon to practise road and group safety.
Team games
Wide games, parachute games and relay challenges that teach teamwork the fun way.
Get creative
Arts, crafts, model making and badge work – every session ends with something to show.
Helping others
Kindness challenges, litter picks and cards for our local care home.
Try new things
Visitors, first-aid basics, science experiments and things that feel properly adventurous.
Our values
Skills for life, values for good
Scouting is built on five values. We practise them in every meeting, however small.
- Integrity – doing the right thing
- Respect – for ourselves and others
- Care – for each other and our world
- Belief – exploring ideas and faiths
- Cooperation – stronger together
Official wording and more detail: Our fundamentals (Policy, Organisation and Rules).
“I promise to do my best to be kind and helpful and to love God.”
Alternate wordings are available. We help every child use the version right for them.
